Make the first step towards a professional future and start a vocational training course with us here at NRC. At our Hamburg headquarters, we'll give you the education you need to become a qualified management assistant in wholesale, export and foreign trade.
Our training program lasts between 2.5 and 3 years and is as colorful as the world of chemistry itself. During your training you'll get a close look at the exciting work of our sales divisions, where you'll be in contact with our international team of suppliers and customers. You'll also have the chance to purchase raw materials, create offers, process and plan sales orders, prepare price calculations, communicate with our European subsidiaries and manage the first of your own projects. And on the way you'll come to find out why cola drinks are black, where lipsticks get their shine and what makes adhesives sticky.
You'll spend two days a week in vocational school studying the theory behind doing successful business. This learning will be supported through additional in-house training courses at the NRC office.
As part of a three-year course to become a management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade, we also offer the chance to earn an additional qualification as a business manager in foreign trade.
What two NRC trainees have to say:
"Through the steady contact with our customers and suppliers, I was able to adjust quickly to the process of foreign trade. I've found that the international character of the training has made my time here especially exciting, and the friendly and open exchange between colleagues and other trainees really enriches the day-to-day work. I'm having fun in this training program and look forward to all the experiences I have yet to gain here."
My first year at NRC flew by quickly. I had a lot of nice colleagues who helped support me and teach me the ropes of the working world.
Every day now I learn to deal with the new situations in business, and having the chance to work in each of our four business units makes our training diverse and exciting.
Because I approach the work with enthusiasm and commitment, I find there are a lot of doors open to me here at NRC.
As our newest trainee, you:
- have completed A-levels or an equivalent school-leaving certificate
- received good marks in English
- are committed and open-minded
- enjoy working in a team and dealing with people
- are keen to take on responsibility and work independently
