This privacy statement sets out how the Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH collects and uses personal data, i.e. information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual.
1. Collection and use of IP addresses
When accessing our website your IP address will be collected automatically; this is technically required to enable the communication between your device and our website. After the end of your session your IP address will be retained for a maximum of up to 90 days solely for purposes of ensuring IT Security and allowing statistical evaluation of the website use on an anonymous basis.
Unless this function has been deactivated in your web browser settings, accessing our website will initiate a data transfer of so-called “cookies” in order to offer you a more comprehensive service that is customized to your user needs. To this effect, the following guidelines apply.
What are cookies and do they identify me personally?
Cookies are alphanumerical identifiers in the form of small electronic files that are transferred to your hard drive via your computer’s web browser. The cookies on our website are only used to collect so-called usage data such as which of the individual pages you visit on our website. This information is then evaluated for statistical purposes and serves to ensure the website’s functionality and smooth navigation. As an individual user, however, you will remain anonymous; apart from the cookie information we retain no information about you.
How long will these cookies stay on my computer?
The cookies sent (so-called session cookies) will be deleted as soon as you close your web browser as they only contain information required for the one visit to our website.
Can I prevent data from being collected and stored through cookies?
Yes, if you choose to exercise your right to refuse. This process is explained below.
Purpose, use and refusal of cookies on our website
To support the functionality of our website, we employ cookies that allow our system to recognize your browser and offer you specific services. In order to make full use of the website’s functionality, these cookies must be accepted. You can refuse the data collection of our website cookies, however, by changing the settings of your web browser in the following way: the documentation or help function of your browser will explain how you can prevent the acceptance of cookies or set up automatic notification when new cookies are sent from a website so that you can choose to accept or reject each of them manually. These settings are normally found in the browser’s data protection settings menu.
We always recommend that you log off completely each time you complete a session on a shared or public computer which has been configured to automatically accept cookies.
3. Data traffic analysis using Google Analytics
In the interest of optimizing and improving the design of our website, we use the tracking technology of Google Analytics. The following summary outlines the functionality of this service, including links to information regarding service refusal.
Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and which permit analysis of how our website is used. As a rule, the information concerning your use of our website is transferred and saved to a Google server in the USA. As we actively anonymize your IP address, however, it will be shortened by Google beforehand within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the European Economic Area (EEA). Only in a few exceptional cases will a full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of our website, to produce reports regarding website activity and to provide other services relating to use of the website and Internet. The IP address of your browser that is transmitted by Google Analytics will not be linked with other data stored by Google.
4. Right to information and withdrawing consent
You are entitled to request information regarding data stored with concern to your person, and, as the case may be, request deletion or blocking of such data. You are also free to withdraw any possible consent to the collection and use of your data at any time. To do so, simply send an informal letter or email of notification to:
